The Barons of Tang

Postby Dylan » Mon Sep 07, 2009 1:11 pm

I mixed this band at the Excelsior on Saturday night - The Barons of Tang from Melbourne.

Not sure if Shanghai particularly like playing with bands on a similar wavelength - but these guys are fairly similar but probably a little less death! Definitely worth checking out when they are up here though.

I recorded their set on Saturday and uploaded it if you are keen to have a listen

Yeah, I saw them sometime last year and bought their EP.
Another pretty good band who I've also seen and have since down gigs with the Barons of Tang are
The Crooked Fiddle Band, also worth checking out and I think I enjoyed them more... it's been a while since I've seen them so I get the two confused.
I don't see how their similar to Shanghai at all, beside being out of the box and having lots of band members on stage!
