very little reason to go to this gig then.
but NIN is still on the bill so I'm sure it'll still be a filthy gig.
....unless of course I get batteries to my casio keyboard so I can listen to drum presets instead.

Dillinger Escape Plan join Soundwave
Although it’s yet to be confirmed by organisers, New Jersey’s Dillinger Escape Plan have let slip they’ll be playing Soundwave 2009. The masters of cerebral metal dropped the news at the end of a blog update on their website.
“We have a lot of stuff in the works, but we’ll throw out a little treat right now for our fans in Australia,” the band writes. “We’re playing Soundwave in 2009!!! We haven’t been added to the official contest web page yet because the webmasters there are slacking, but we’re definitely playing.”
Dillinger Escape Plan visited our shores in May of this year, playing a string of incendiary, full-force live shows. In the words of FasterLouder’s Sydney reviewer: “The chaos that this band delivers makes it very hard to just watch a certain member or view the stage from an angle and take it all in.” The already heavyweight Soundwave bill is about to get a whole lot more brutal…

With the first weekend of Soundwave almost upon us, headliner Nine Inch Nails has sent out a warning to fans. A post on the festival website warns: “Due to the intense strobe lighting and size of the Nine Inch Nails light show at Soundwave 09 there is the possibility that it may induce epilepsy.” The statement urges even those with no medical history of epilepsy to be cautious.
