Neil Young looks like heading Big Day Out in January, according to the Melbourne “Age” — on a bill that looks like including the Arctic Monkeys, the Ting Tings and My Morning Jacket.

Woo hoo! The Ting Tings!!!

It will interesting to see what time slot they get.

I remember a couple years ago, being backstgae (or upstairs rather) at the Annandale when they were considering offers from BDO (I think it was the Jane's Addiction year).

They'd been offered a main stage slot but it was one of the first spots - around lunchtime. But it didn't pay very well and it was only a short set. So they negotiated and got a late slot on the smaller stages - longer set, better lights, and a much bigger $$$.

yeah very interesting. i dont think you could beat seeing them on the small stage. the big stages have poor sound and a very non-intimate vibe...
