Michael Moore - Sequel to Farenheit 9/11

Outspoken US documentary film-maker Michael Moore is making a sequel to Fahrenheit 9/11, his scathing indictment of President George W. Bush's war on terrorism.

The first film won him the Cannes prize for best film in 2004.

Film trade papers Variety and Hollywood Reporter said Moore was expected in Cannes during the 12-day festival starting Wednesday to shop the project to international buyers.

The project is being co-financed and co-produced by Paramount Vantage and Overture Films and is to be released in 2009, Variety said.

The sequel, as yet untitled, would pick up where Fahrenheit left off, with Bush's popularity falling and the Iraq war continuing.

Moore so far has made three of the top five grossing documentaries in the US, Fahrenheit, the Oscar-winning 2002 documentary Bowling for Columbine and Sicko.
