There's really only Marquee and Excelsior left. I'm sure you'll agree - there's no point playing shitty venues. Marquee will be hard to fill, and I quite like SHx, good atmosphere and we could definitely pack the place out.

i've seen awesome lighting at SHx too. though mostly it involved bands bringing/paying for a lighting guy who had a few extra lights to chuck up on the lighting rig...

Craig from Beam Management is more than likely the lighting man you're referring to.

yeah i am, and yeah he is great. more bands should look at puting the effort into lighting... it really does improve a show so much.

nor paint a lily. but flashing pretty lights can be deceitful on the drunk and can also distract attention away, and improve or add to a show... giving the impression it is greater than it is.

plus it makes for pretty photos.
