You know, it really saddens me that more people out there are not supporting local bands in this. Self | Is A Seed, The Third Cycle, Paper Champion, Antonamasia, Junto and Mz Ann Thropik have all had their songs up on the unearthed site for quite some time now, and all of them have no more than 6 or less reviews. There's plenty of other good bands in the same boat. It's fucked. Having had a good listen to the bands that are charting in the top 20, most of them are shit, and undeserving of such a high ranking. Whilst it's such a shame that good quality bands, like the ones I've mentioned, recieve little to no exposure, due to the fact that people are just too damn lazy to take 5 mins out of their day, sign up and review a track.

The flip side of this is that I HAVE reviewed tracks for all those bands (and many others) and, to my knowledge, none of them have returned the favour, despite repeated requests for support. I mean, it's the same old story of bands themselves helping to support the music scene by supporting other bands.

Having said all that, I DO appreciate everyone who HAS been there for us and helped us out. My respect goes out to you all, and TLS as a whole are forever in your debt...

Yeah I know what you mean.

To be honest I have probably been a bit lazy in terms of reviews.

My defense with the band mentioned:

Self | Is A Seed - Not a fan - good guys but review would not be too favourable.

The Third Cycle - Haven't listened, may do so now.

Paper Champion - Not my thing, my review would be something like: "Good for what it is, not my cup of tea"... so I don't really see a point.

Antonamasia - I am not going to waste my time reviewing when the band bags out the competition at the drop of a hat.

Mz Ann Thropik - Seems silly to review a song I co wrote.....

Fair enough. All good, valid, points. The rant wasn't really directed at you anyway.

As far as Mz Ann goes though, I'd see it more as you taking the time out to support some friends, as opposed to you reviewing your own song...

I have rated the song already - a review would be like telling myself how hot I am.....
