I am not trying to have a dig here.... I am just saying that I personally was not surprised at what happend on Sunday, and I am shocked that you are. Each to there own.

You were expecting 5000 people to violently attack each over the weekend?

Shocked that I still retained a certain amount of hope in humanity, especially the ones I happen to share a country with?

How about not turning a blind eye?

These people have generally had these views shoved in their face from the time they were born, it's a generational thing, and is going to take a lot more than a couple of self help classes to eradicate.

I work in Cronulla 5 days a week, so it wasn't hard to see that something was going to happen, I didn't think anything of this scale but for the past week there have been truck loads of cops cruising around the area, not to mention the helicopters and police on horse back. I think its ridiculous, but inevitable when you get drunken bogan/surfies all gathering together. The buzz down here at the moment is that there is a train loads of Lebanese gangs on their way here, most probably at 5pm, so thats got the police a bit on edge.

So are you, Craig, going to bring your children up to be tolerant of racist behaviour? Are you going to tell them - "you know what? Racism is just a part of life- deal with it." Are you going to encourage them NOT to actively work to better our society?

In all honesty, I really couldn't give a fuck about the stupid ignorant assholes, lock them up for all I care.

What I care about are the innocent bystanders and victims who want to play no part in this, and theyoung impressionable children who still have a hope of breaking the cycle of such fucked up ways of thinking....
