Sleater Kinney's sound, is an unlikely collision of early eighties punk and post-punk, motown and seventies rock.
They have recently released their opus, the genre defying "The Woods" (as in deepest, darkest; operating in dim corners of the heart and mind, both a physical reality and an emotional place). Their seventh and most daring album to date "The Woods" has generated the most comprehensive critical response of the band's career with mediums from Mojo magazine to the influential Pitchfork website granting the album five star reviews. The new single "Jumpers" is a fine example of this and is now testing listeners of alternative radio everywhere.
Be excited people! This is one hell of a live band.
