Well, after the excess of the previous evening (Got to bed at like, 4am?), Chantel and I planned for a fairly quiet night on Friday. We didn't want to miss out on Bushido though, so ventured out, vowing to be home for an early night...

The Third Cycle were fairly impressive. I think they have a tight distinctive sound, and mix it up a bit stylisticly. They are all competent players, and interesting to watch on stage. Their biggest flaw in my eyes is that I'm not a huge fan of what Jess is singing. I mean, she can sing well, but the vocal lines are a little boring and sometimes even too busy. I really think the songs would be more affective with some simple catchy melody lines. Also, that last song they played is just WAY too much of a rip off of Stockhoolm Syndrome...

Bushido were awesome. The best set I've seen them do, and the best set I've seen from a local band in a long time. The second last song was an absolute cracker. Apparently it's a new song, and is indicative of what is to come from them. I enjoyed talking to those boys too...

MM9 played fantastic and get one of the best reactions of a local unsigned band I have ever seen at the Annadale. I won't go into any useless criticisms here. Those guys tore the place down, and my respect goes out to them...

Chantel, why did you suggest we go back to Greg's place?
WHy did you suggest we go to the Townie?
Why did you suggest we go to the Zanzi after the Townie closed?
Fucken hell, I'm still feeling the sting of getting home to sleep at 5:30am, then getting up at 11 for rehearsal with TLS. THEN work...

Nah, good times. Was fucking great hanging with you Greg, even though you nearly fell asleep at the Zanzi...

Hell yeah, great night.
I was so fucked when I got home, and all the next day for that matter.
I thought you were serious about backing up again for Saturday? I got messy again across the road and felt the burn on Sunday ...and Today.

In saying that...
