Great news for Toriphiles in Oz: Robert Schrader tells us that at this afternoon’s M&G, Tori said there will be a tour of Australia in December. Yay! So all you folks Down Under may now commence with the running around in circles, jumping for joy.
After word got out that prolific icon Tori Amos would visit Australia in summer, a round of shows have been confirmed. Amos has been always been warmly welcomed down under, with her last tour in 2007 stretching over 11 nights.
She recently released her tenth studio album Abnormally Attracted To Sin, reasserting her sizeable talents as a songwriter. Amos is equally accomplished as a performer. As FasterLouder’s reviewer wrote of her theatrical run at Sydney Opera House two years ago: “This show felt so very full; plenty of light and shade, plenty of old and new. Unsurprisingly, she earned a standing ovation from everyone in the concert hall – twice.” In November, the ever-evolving enigma will return to the grand venues that suit her best.
Tori Amos plays these solo shows in November. Tickets on sale Friday 31 July.
