METALLICA 'DEATH MAGNETIC' LAUNCH PARTY

PRESENTED BY UTOPIA RECORDS

FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 12 FROM 11 PM - 3AM
LANSDOWNE HOTEL (CORNER CITY RD + BROADWAY)

Anticipation is high for the long-awaited Metallica album Death Magnetic which is release on September 13. It is Metallica's first studio album since 2003's multi-platinum St. Anger, which hit No. 1 in 30 countries and has sold nearly six million copies worldwide.

Sydney fans, not wanting to wait a minute longer, have the chance to be one of the first diehard Metallica fans in the world to own the new album Death Magnetic, as UTOPIA RECORDS presents the METALLICA 'DEATH MAGNETIC' LAUNCH PARTY at the Lansdowne Hotel (corner City Rd + Broadway) on Friday September 12 from 11pm.

The album will be played in it's entirety from 11pm and fans can purchase Death Magnetic from midnight.

Fans that attend the launch party and purchase Death Magnetic on the night will go into the draw to win a Metallica prize pack including Metallica vinyl, t-shirt and CDs.

There will also be a Metallica set from an all star Metallica Tribute band featuring past and present members of Daysend, Switchblade, MM9, Mortal Sin, Friar Rush, Mortality, Killrazer, Infernal Method, PsiKore, Dark Order, Cryogenic, Henry's Anger, 28 Days, AgaugeFor, Degeneracy and more !!!

I left before the band played. I'm sure they would've been interesting, at least. But I was sick of people bumping into me as it was getting severely overcrowded. And Death Magnetic didn't interest me at all. Some hot goth-metal slut, who I thought was cute, flirted with me a little bit, which is half good and a greater half of being frustrating and annoying.

Oh well, I got to have a brief chat with my friend who works behind the bar there, so it wasn't a completely wasted time there.
