Following their killer performances around the country for the Big Day Out festival earlier this year, Muse will be back in the country before the end of the year. Check below for dates!
Muse are Matt Bellamy (vocals/guitar/keys) Chris Wolstenholme (bass/vocals) and Dominic Howard (drums) and if you thought their Big Day Out performances were spectacular then brace yourselves… This time they’ll be bringing their full-scale stage production to Australia which is an epic show of lights, giant screens, projections, antennas, balloons, and, naturally, giant space chambers.
“We’ve always had big, ridiculous ideas for live shows,” says Bellamy. “So long as, artistically it still has some kind of emotional connection to the crowd.”
They recently roadtested these “ridiculous” ideas on a two-night run of shows at the new Wembley Stadium in the UK. The results were that Muse were the first band to sell out the stadium and the June shows have already gone down in rock history for their grand scale and sheer entertainment value.
The Guardian was one such publication that was seriously impressed with the show. “Muse put on a dazzling show, with flames, fireworks, glitter and graceful dancers spinning below suspended balloons, but their most impressive achievement is making such a vast venue feel so intimate.”
