i was impressed by the opening band from WA called 'Hope Here Gone'. Bought their CD which was also mixed by Forrester. Sounds really good. Stylistically they are maybe a tad on the emo side (just ever so slightly) though they experiment with odd timings and the drummer is simply a powerhouse. The vocalist live though struggles. If you are going tonight, i suggest you check them out.

Other than that i cant say much else about the night, except for how about monavale hotel invest some money into the mid-range of their front of house, and maybe some lighting apart from 6 par cans.... Karnivool souned very sub-standard.

Unfortunately, we won't make it to see the opening bands as we are both working tonight...

yeha i guess i learnt now... i've never been there before.

i would like to go out tonight but i physically cant... too damn tired. lucky i ended up staying at kates last night in Narrabeen and went straight to work this morning, otherwise i prob would be even more tired....
