    until the time when selling out can pay the bills i will have to keep it real

    you've got a better shot in other areas besides the creative fields....

    For every band that makes it I reckon there must be about 1000 if not more that don't...and I am talking about the good ones..

    "making it" has to vary person to person though.

    Maybe not every band will be filthy rich, a shit load of bands wont have a sole income off music...

    but, if you can get a little something out of it, not be in debt, fund recordings etc... that's making it to a degree.

    I'd personally be stoked with music funding the recording of more music, and would say that's making a career in the music industry.

    absolutely agreed.

    If I could have music funding the recording, promo and practises I would be a stoked little jellybean...

    the rest would be just icing on the cake...

    i agree...if music could fund music i would be a happy chappy...that way work money could be spent on things other than music...dammit.
