Sydney Festival today announces the Icelandic songstress will be performing for one night only on the Sydney Opera House Forecourt on January 23, 2008.

The iconic performer has built a career on consistently challenging creative concepts – yet her often unclassifiable music has scored her fans from the most eclectic of music critics to Joe Shmoe general public.

The Sydney Festival appearance will feature songs from Bjork’s extensive back catalogue and tracks from her new album Volta.

Tickets on sale Friday November 2.

So I just called Sydney Opera House because there has been no sign of ticket availability or prices anywhere...

Bjork tickets are estimated to be approx $150 because there's such a limited amount of tickets.

Looks like I'm going to have to skip PJ Harvey. I've seen her about 5 times anyway...
