I saw them play at Bar Broadway. I think it was the first gig that was ever put on at BB. All night the power kept cutting out, and they were pissed off. Pretty packed though...

Then at Woonona/Bulli RSL, which is HUGE, and was really fucking empty for them. There was maybe 50 people there. Great performance though...

Then at the Harbourside Brasserie, which sold out and was a fucking great gig. One of the best shows I've been to. They played for ages, I think they did 4 sets...

Memories...

Ooh! I haven't seen these guys live yet! It'll be a while before I stop wetting my panties! (I've run out already). Closest thing to this I've seen so far is when I saw Bungle in Brisbane back in '96...

yep Gold Coast.

I think it shut down in around 98 and tried reopening again but failed.

it was a nice smallish venue with a dingy little pub in the front.
Good place to watch a band like that cause GC is trendy as hell and most of them wouldn't go to a gig like that (except for a couple of local bogans to call out for MB tunes).

I went up there for Run DMC too around the same time, which was way cool.

Yeah I think it was around Mermaid Beach or something they tried to reopen it. I never went there though.

Trust me I know. I played there m'self back in '98 for the little Jam Night they had on Wednesdays. Maybe it's not saying much, but the owner was pretty impressed and slotted us in for a show for the Friday of the same week, which was pretty flattering seeing most bands were on a waiting list for a few months. :D
