That's pretty stupid if he's "less focused on" as he's pretty damn well respected in the guitar world and contributed a lot to the Police's sound. Can't see why you "like the fact" about the matter either.

:wtf:

Least celebrated member of the band? Of course he's important, I meant he's least focused on.

Then you probably should have said that in the first place, idiot.

I somehow knew you liked this band. Being one of two bands to come out of the early punk movement who knew how to play their instruments.(competently)
But crowded lines to get beer.....Crowded lines to go to the toilets.....
It just doesn't sound like fun at all.

Because guitarists are usually wankers and usually get too much attention. I think it's great when other musicians in the band are recognised more instead. I didn't say he was a bad guitarist either and I don't mind him and his reggae style.

In fact, I didn't say I disliked The Police either, I just think this tour seems boring (to me). On a side note, I think Sting is hilarious.

Sheesh, no need to get all uppity and defensive.

Gee thanks

I wasn't really. Come to think of it I think I misinterpreted what was said. Sting is more famous and I don't know anything about the other members, and they could be better musos than Andy Summers anyhoo, for all I know.

The Police guitarist Andy Summers will be showing off his other artistic endeavours when the band tours here next month. His photographic exhibition,I'll be watching you, artfully documents life behind the scenes with the band from 1980 to 1983. It's on at Paddington's Blender Gallery on Janurary 18 and 19 before travelling around with the tour.
The exhibition features some iconic black and white images of the band including the sun-drenched Sting lying in the crystal shallows off Brampton Island where the band recharged before their final tour here in 1983.
May have to check this one out.
