Hi Guys,
I saw you play at the Metro on Saturday 1st April 2006. I've never seen you before, but heard positive comments from a friend that saw you support The Butterfly Effect (I think that's who you supported) ages ago.
I am overjoyed and inspired after seeing you play - your performance was incredible. With all credit to Cog (I've seen them a few times before) you were the highlight of the night.
I have no idea if you're friends with Nation Blue, but they sucked. They ruined the night after you took the atmosphere to such a good level. I'm sure Cog played better than I thought they did, but Nation Blue ruined the whole night from the time you finished your set.
Anyways, this isn't a bitch about them - I just wanted to say thanks and well done. Your songwriting, and your skills were such a refreshing change. Cog were pioneers a couple of years ago (and still are), but you guys (in my book) are taking things to another level.
I can now happily list my all time best concert experiences in order as Nucleus, Cog, Junto, A Perfect Circle.
I have to give credit to the guy on the main desk (we were standing right behind him). He was right into your show and was making sure the mix was just right at all times. But he should have been watching the levels for Nation Blue...
Your set was short (but support acts are always limited) and you didn't have the whiz bang light show all mapped out, but damn, didn't the music make all that stuff redundant. I'd love to see you guys as main billing with the stage all to yourself.
BTW, I bought a t-shirt, hat, and your EP, and it's been in the player non stop since Saturday. I heard you might be recording an Album in May. If so, I'll be straight into the store to buy it as soon as it's released (make sure you keep your website up to date!). I'm totally happy to support you with my ears and my wallet because you made me feel good - thanks.
