Radiohead songs leaked...

Postby Chantel » Fri May 05, 2006 4:49 pm

One of the most anticipated live performances of 2006 happened on May 1, as Radiohead’s Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood, stepped out of their Oxford studio, where they’ve been holed up for the past few months working on the follow up to 2003’s Hail To The Thief. The duo's rare appearance was to lend support to The Friends of The Earth’s climate campaign ‘The Big Ask’, held at London’s Koko.
The pair played semi-acoustic versions of some of their biggest hits and even took the opportunity to air three new tracks from their next studio album. The tracks ‘Arpeggi’, Bodysnatchers’ and another that’s still to be titled, were bootlegged from the performance and have already started to surface online at the band’s fansites.

Take a sneak peak now on: http://www.greenplastic.com (not that we ever condone the bootlegging of artist's music...)

Awesome. :D Thanks for the link BustyB. ^^b

I haven't heard them yet, but I'm dl'ing. I have 56k though so this'll take a while. :(

I really, really like Radiohead. Which amunhra jokes about a lot because she thinks they suck. :P

But I loved The Bends, OK Computer and Kid A. They're classics. Hail To The Thief was awesome too. Amnesiac was... interesting to say the least. But I still loved it.

Only album I didn't like was Pablo Honey. Besides Creep and Thinking About You it sucked. Oh, and an acoustic version of Blow Out that was later released also was great, but the album version sucked.

I hope these new tracks are good anyway. ^^b

Blasphemy!

EDIT: The quality of this bootleg is pretty crap. :( But it sounds promising. I think.

Hey! Hey! Suck is such a harsh word. My actual words, verbatum are: "They're whiny"

Sorry :P

Maybe it's just the depressing music along with the whinyness of his voice that grates me the wrong way. *shrugs* As a plus, I really love Creep and a cover they do of a song, I forget the title.

Altogether I am not a Radiohead fan, but kudos to their being legends of their style :D

On another hand, I once challenged Zanana to point out a Radiohead song that was neither whiny(vocals) nor depressing(music), other than Creep. Now if anyone here can point one out and I listen to it and think that's it's neither of those things, hell I'll say they aren't all whiny. But I have yet to come across a Radiohead song that wasn't, then again I haven't heard all of their stuff, maybe I just got unlucky and heard only the whiny songs.

I don't get why people think Muse are whiny. To be honest, Radiohead are a lot more whiny.

But not as whiny as amunhra seems to think. ;) I think she just doesn't like Thom Yorke's voice. :(

Anyay, does anyone have any idea at all when new Radiohead stuff will be released? I have to admit, I'm not that excited about it, but Radiohead still give me a nice, warm, fuzzy feeling. 8)
