Phil Selway (Radiohead) goes solo

Postby Chantel » Thu Sep 17, 2009 11:37 am

Radiohead drummer Phil Selway is working on a solo album in the band’s Oxfordshire studio. Selway offered a glimpse of his solo work in January playing guitar and singing two self penned tunes, The Ties That Bind Us and The Witching Hour, as part of the all-star 7 Worlds Collide project in Auckland.

Drawing on his friends from 7 Worlds Collide, Selway will be joined on his ‘solo’ album by Wilco members Glenn Kotche and Pat Sansone, multi-instrumentalist Lisa Germano and bass player Sebastian Steinberg.

There’s no work yet on a release date, but with a Radiohead member the album could arrive online with little warning.
I have the choice of being constantly active and happy or introspectively passive and sad. Or I can go mad by ricocheting in between. - Sylvia Plath
