The Flaming Lips hope to finish their highly anticipated feature film in time for a March premiere at South by Southwest Film and Music Festival in Austin, Texas.
The film, titled Christmas on Mars is currently in post production with the band working on the final edit. The Lips plan to release the film on HD and also plan for a theatrical release of the flick.
Fans will also get to have their input on the process, with The Flaming Lips hoping to showcase the film as part of their upcoming Christmas on Mars tour – after fan input, the band will re-edit the flick for a re-release.

Wow...this has been a long time coming.
Can't wait...from what I've seen, it should be pretty sweet...especially the soundtrack...
