The Mars Volta cast that performed Amputechture will be modified for live dates that begin imminently, with drummer Jon Theodore replaced by Blake Fleming, formerly of Laddio Bolocko and Dazzling Killmen and actually the drummer who played on the very first Mars Volta demos...

Yes, The Mars Volta has replaced Jon Theodore with Blake Fleming permanently. This will probably be the only official statement you'll get from the band regarding this matter.

damn. i dunno who this blake flemming guy is, but he'd better be pretty freaking amazing. Jon Theodore is an absolutely amazing athlete of a drummer...

The Mars Volta are playing second fiddle... um I mean, opening band to The Red Hot Chili Peppers, tomorrow night in Montreal :(

I'm going to miss it :cry: I missed Muse too :cry:
