'No Other Way' is a pretty bold move as an opening track but I love it.

Bird of Feather

Much better clip than What If IMO...even if I do hate the artwork...

The Presets and COG Get Music Fans Shopping

by Paul Cashmere - April 21 2008

New albums by The Presets and COG attracted music fans back to stores last week. The Australian double-header debut from the bands eclipsed sales for the previous weeks.

The Presents 'Apocalypso' debuted at number one after selling 13,607 units. COG's 'Sharing Space' came in at number two on sales of 7,334.

Last week, k.d. lang had the number one record in Australia with the low figure of 4914 units. It was the second lowest number one ever.

The Presets are Julian Hamilton and Kim Moyes. They released their debut album 'Beams' in 2005. Moyes is also a member of The Dissociatives, the occasional band from paulmac and Silverchair's Daniel Johns.

COG is into its 10th year this year. The band features Lucius Borich, the son of guitar hero Kevin Borich. 'Sharing Space' was recorded in California with Silvia Massy (Nucleus, System of a Down) producing.

When a band such as Cog find themselves selling enough albums to put them in the ARIA chart's top three,it restores your faith in the Australian public. The Bondi trio don't write hit singles as such;they make punishing, intense, epic hard rock songs that give attention spans a thorough but rewarding workout.
