The Hanging Tree - A record to remember

Due to a lot of interest, we've decided to let cog fans have the chance to hear and purchase the early beginnings of Flynn and Lucius's last musical out-fit, the mighty band The Hanging Tree. This recording was done in Sydney at Charing Cross studios on a 24-track analogue recording facility in 1996. The band members at this time were: Emmy Walters on Vocals, Rowan Melic on rhythm/lead guitar, Daniel Parkinson on bass, Flynn on rhythm/lead guitar and Lucius on drums.

"The recording has a very punk/metal/stoner groove to it. It's one of my favourite albums, if not the best recording I've ever done!", Lucius said. "Flynn, the other boys and I were very proud, and still are, of what we achieved in the studio with this record, and it still needs to be heard! People will see where some of cog's sound has come from, and it's amazing how many cog fans with Hanging Tree CDs come to us to get them signed."

This will only be available from this site, and you might want to get in quick as we only have 300 copies left. See the Merchandise section if you're interested.

Hahaha... I've heard Hanging Tree... thought it was boring.
I touched her hand... her hand touched her boob. By the transitive property, I got boob! Algebra's awesome!

Serious? Come on, Hanging Tree were way more Kyuss-ish... there's a big difference between JV Part 2 and Hanging Tree... not to mention Cog's vocals are much easier on the ear.
