The Flaming Lips - Japanese Inspiration

Ever wondered where the Flaming Lips get whacky idea from? Robbie Buck found out this week when he caught up with frontman Wayne Coyne and asked about the band's strange new video.

"The concept came from a Japanese morning talk show where they collect a group of Japanese girl pop groups and then strap a pork chop to their forehead and stick them through these holes in the floor and they have a komodo dragon that would come and try to eat this pork chop off these poor teenager's heads."

You can watch that clip and a whole lot of Flaming Lips classics at the band's website.
