congrats on the evening, i was suprised, well not suprised but pleased with how far you guys have come since I have seen you last. which I think was with Scott at BB or bizzo's??

Thanx heaps man.
Your missus seemed to have really enjoyed it too...

gr_cunt_eg wrote:anyhoo, the set was put together rewally well and I like the mix that was in that room. which was always my biggest criticism - that I could never hear you sing ...or the other guys sing for that matter. And while your music is very good, you come across to me as a full package kinda band - where all the elements are required to pull the songs off as they were intended. (hope that makes sense)
the point being, I could hear everything and the songs sounded great.

That seems to have been our biggest problem so far.
There is so many suttle elements within our music, it's needs a really good mix to be effective.
On stage it sounded pretty good, and judging by the feedback I've recieved, it was fairly well balanced out front too, which is refreshing to hear...

gr_cunt_eg wrote:The first song almost had a Foo fighter vibe I thought. which felt different and a lot more (not too much) rockier for you guys. not a bad thing, I think this is a good way for you to strat your set and grab some ears and eyes from the room.

Foo Fighters huh?
I guess I can see that.
I'm alays thought it had more of a Smashing Pumkins vibe myself.
But yeah, I think it's a great way to kick off the set, hence it's first place position...

gr_cunt_eg wrote:Myt favourite track is the one with the (human voice) keys one- second or third song I think (i was pretty fucking smashed, and lucky to remember at all). that song is great, and as well sits nice at the front ofg the set.

Hmmm, not sure which song you mean.
Tuanis? The slow Portishead one with the Theremin keys?
A lot of people seem to dig that one...

He really does look out of place. I know you guys don't deliberately dress to a theme ( collectively I mean) but 3 of you fit the same anyhoo y'know.
and to have him in the middle (and he moves around the most too) makes him the focus and it felt odd.

It's funny you should say that, because he usually sticks to the black on black vibe as well.
The other night was the first time he had worn a white shirt, or a tie.
Whislt I get what you guys are getting at, I'm not about to restirct Troy expressing himself.

gr_cunt_eg wrote:but yeah, nice gig all the same.
we'll catch up for some m,ore beers soon.

:) You're welcome...

I actually look very content and relaxed.

Whilst we were taking that we actually couldn't stop laughing and giving each other shit...
