let me start by saying, I wrote about 2 pages before the comp. froze so this is the revised quick version (lucky you).

The local scene stinks.

I like (very much) The Locus Scene.
I like Karnivool.
I like BoT.

Anything related to the above here after and retorting..., eat a fat dick.

I Think TLS is one of the best local bands I see on the market. The vocals stink. ..and I say that every time. They are great , but I never hear them. The songs are fantastic. They make me disregard any familiararity with any other band because they come across fresh and passionate. (except for middleman, which I have also mentioned b4).

I thought BoT were a bit boring.
I think their songs are good. But I think everyone in Sydney is starved for very good.
In my opinion (don't forget above disclaimer). BoT & Karnivool is the Brace/Henry's of 5-6 years ago. (not better, just in place of), and likewise N.I.L before them. ... It's ok, but way done , and thelive show leaves a lot to be desired for those toooonz.
Everyone,(especially new live music goers) (and it seems to be spreading to the ageing) so desperatly wants to love the "up & comers" & that shit and boring is becoming the "new normall"(he he) .

*first to like is not better.

I say look harder.... and if it aint here, look o.s.
Don't support mediocre for the sake of suppoting.
Luis let me hear you sing (nothing to do with beer turning down throat infection).

and be thankful I got the shits and didn't rewrite what I wrote 4.

*most will ignore this drunken rant.
but that's for reasons already mentioned above.

ps. i left before BoT finished because I was bored. So if they pulled out the sick arse mutha fuck'n shit later.... ignore the above.

Actually, thanx for the feedback. And thank you so much for being there.

In fact, a HUGE thanx to everyone:

Greg
Ando
Edwin
Ben
Dom & Megan
Dave & Clare
Luke

...who were there to support us. I really appreciate it, and it was great to see your smiling familiar faces in the crowd...

In terms of my opinion of the gig, I am very happy with how we did. I think we played and performed great. The singing was a bit sketchy in parts, but generally ok as well, especially considering my unwell throat, which I didn't even think would last the distance. It was also great to have such a substantial crowd there for an opening band. Even though the reception was a little cold at first, by the end of the set everyone had definitely warmed up, and the response was overwhelming. The best part about it is I got quite a lot of positive feedback, mostly from people who had never seen us and I had never met before, which is always nice...

I do welcome all critical feedback though, so feel free to write your 2 pages Gregathy...

Moving on, I fucking LOVED BOT. One of the best bands in the country, and I can't for the life of me understand how you could have been bored, Greg...
